Tranny? Better Watch Yer Mouth Little Girl

Faggot. Cocksucker. Queer. I was called all those things before I was old enough to know what it meant. Now I get called other things, and one of them is "Tranny". When I first started out on this journey, I was told that this was a bad word, that I was never to use it, and that saying it was just as bad as stepping on a crack. Having worked on cars most of my life, I'd used this term quite a bit before. However, not being completely without tact, I decided to avoid it. So how come I use it all the time now? Why do I have a section on my website called tranny?

First of all let me say I don't use the word as an insult. I use it in a similar way as rappers use the word nigger. It's a term of endearment, and I've never got an explanation of how it could be offensive. I suppose that any word can be offensive if used with the right tone of voice, but I certainly don't use tranny that way. I think that if we adopt it as our own word and use it in our community, it will show others that we refuse to be hurt by it. We're hurt by enough things already to be worried about a harmless little word, so I encourage you to use it as much as you can. Let's take the sting out of it by using ourselves.
